Getting to Know Fairfax Name’s Fairfax. My name is a common English surname meaning “beautiful hair." You might be surprised to learn that I actually come from the lily family and, thus, I am not a fern at all. I have arching plumes of tightly packed, needle-like leaves, which are called fronds, they look soft and delicate, but they are a little prickly to the touch. Take me home, and I’m sure you’ll be frond of me.
Caring For Fairfax
💡 Light I’ll grow in almost any light, low to bright, and even do well under artificial light.
💧 Water Keep my soil evenly moist, watering about once a week. The top layer of soil should be dry before watering, but do not let the soil dry out completely.
🙏 Care Tip If my fronds (leaves) begin to yellow, move me where there’s a bit more light.
